Organized in January 1984 and based in Orlando, Florida.
Our members come from all walks of life and include beginners, hobbyists and professionals alike.
Our guild is a 501 (c) (3) Public Charitable Organization

The purpose of the Scribes of Central Florida is to promote the study and practice of calligraphy, encourage artistic growth and appreciation of the lettering arts, foster the exchange of ideas among our members and unite our community.
Upcoming Events
We will be introducing a new format for the year's meetings.
A Short Business Meeting will start at 12:15 pm followed by a class taught by a professional lettering artist.
The fee for each class will be $20 for members and $40 for non-members who are on Zoom and free for those members attending in person.
Classes will be recorded and available for 3 weeks.

Pat designed a 4 hour class for the Scribes. First going thru the basic strokes and then teaching 2 different flowers that can be used to decorate your calligraphy or an envelope.

Angie Vangelis presenting Playful Parallel Pen
Angie will be teaching the class in person. She will be teaching unique ways to use the Pilot Parallel Pen. There is a $15 fee for a packet from the teacher. The class will be 4 hours long, recorded and available for 3 weeks.
